Happy New Year!
We've returned safely from Pinetop, but I still have a few pictures to share from our trip. We went on another hike so we could all commune with Mother Nature a bit more. Here is picture showing more of the woods:

We kept walking and came upon a bridge. Or, really, a partial bridge.

Sadly, we were forced to go back. But Joe and I were really proud of ourselves – two hikes in one weekend.
Back at the cabin, Jack continued to tear apart the house. This time it was the kitchen:

He really loved exploring a new place – he got into everything and made a huge mess. But he sure had fun while doing it.
Yesterday he went to spend the night with Grandma Gloria and Grandpa Tom so Joe and I could go to the Fiesta Bowl. He had a wonderful time and is finally able to sleep the entire night when he is away! He still gets up at 5:30 in the morning, but that's certainly better than waking at 2 a.m.
I was finally able to bring his chair home and tonight he spent some time hanging out in it:

He loves his little personal jack-sized chair. He sat there and banged his arms and climbed all over it.
Now, children this age are allegedly supposed to start using a spoon. While I will continue to assert that Jack is a genius superbaby, he is not the neatest of people. But just because someone is messy, does that mean they should be denied the right to a spoon? I think not.
He did try to use the spoon:

but he quickly realized there were faster and more effective methods of yogurt delivery:

He very much enjoyed the experiment as you can see.
We are getting back into our normal schedule this week. We'll be here and there, doing fun and exciting things, just like we always do!

Happy New Year Jack!
jordan is also trying to eat with a spoon and can get it sometimes but also realizes it's much easier to just pick up the green beans or broccoli or meat with this hands ... what is funny is when he does it with the mashed potatos ...
it's such great fun to watch them develop .. his new word of the week is "no!" ... he says "bye bye", "night night", "mama" clear as day ... and then now "no!"
hehe
