Hear No Evil

The weather here in Phoenix has FINALLY gotten nice again, so Jack and I have been going for walks in the morning. He really enjoys getting out and about and I really need the exercise. One day this week we ended up at a local sandwich shop where I got a salad and Jack hung out eating Os and staring at people. His latest fascination is his very own ears:

ears 2

ears

He plays with his ears so often I made the allergist check inside to make sure nothing was amiss. Of course he's completely fine, he just likes his ears.

He is also very thoughtful when strangers approach. He seems to be trying to determine if they are okay or not:

hmm

If they are not, he breaks into tears and looks at me as if to say "Please get this person away from me." Unfortunately he has now decided none of the people at the gym daycare are okay, so he screams and cries whenever I try to take him there.

Of course, if he thinks the person in question is okay, he stares and stares and stares:

stare

Jack is a little bit sick right now – a very runny nose seems to be his only symptom. I checked for a fever and there is nothing, so I think he's fine. One of his molars is just barely peeking out of his gums. I know the doctors say that teething does not cause a runny nose, but there seems to be empirical evidence that proves quite the opposite.

Comments:
Brooke - Those pictures are so cute! He really is a "toddfant" now, not a baby, that is for sure!

Love to see my favorite 10 month old while in Kansas...what a boy.

glad the weather has cooled off for you and you get to spend some time outside together.

I can't believe how big he's getting. Every time I see him he looks like a different kid.
