Oh Give Me a Home, Where the Buffalo Roam
Jack is now the official household explorer. His favorite activity is roaming about the house to see what he can see. Kind of like the bear who went over the mountain. Something that perplexes him to no end is the arrival and departure of the dogs through the dog door. He had to investigate, and of course got distracted quite a bit along the way.
Where’d she go?
I’ll have to have a closer look.
Ohhhh, plastic.
Look mom, plastic.
He has officially checked out every nook and cranny in the kitchen, and will soon figure out how to exit through that darned dog door.
On Saturday we did our normal grocery shopping. Here is Jack waiting for his carriage to arrive:

And today I took him to Kohl’s to spend the gift certificate we received from Terry and Lyle. I had never been to Kohl’s so I wasn’t sure what to expect and it was a great store. Jack especially liked the dish section.

But really when it comes right down to it, he just likes the cart where he can ride in front.

These were designed for babies like Jack who only want to look out at the world and see what is happening. I swear, he is the most curious human being I have ever met, and he’s only 8 months old.

I think he's being sneaky and just making you think he's interested in the doggie door. I suspect his real interest is in that cooler thing where Mom and Dad keep getting those "happy" bottles.
maybe he is preparing for his many future rides on roller coasters where he has to sit in the front seat ... (like me) ... !
isn't it fun to revisit the world through the eyes of a baby? :)
