Lions and Tigers and Bears
Ok, so we didn’t actually see the lions. Or the tigers and bears for that matter. But yesterday we had a great little outing to the zoo with five other moms an their babies and kids. Apparently going to the zoo is the thing to do on a Wednesday morning, as I have never seen so many strollers in my life. Millions and millions of babies and toddlers were visiting the animals on this very sunny day.
Here you can get an idea of what it was like:

Two of the kids were old enough to play around on all the stuff and actually look at the animals, which was good otherwise we just would have been a bunch of moms pushing strollers. Here’s Gemma playing on a tractor:

I haven’t been to the Children’s Zoo in ages and they have really done a lot over there. It’s better than when we were kids, although they took out the chicken hatching area. It was this house full of chickens and you could walk in and watch them at all different stages – little chicks all the way up. They don’t have that anymore.
When it was time to stop for a rest, Jack was clearly exhausted from all the excitement:

It was a good day – it’s always nice to get out and see other moms. Sometimes we even talk about something other than babies.
Today we’re going to head out to try to get pictures taken. For once the little guy does not have scratches all over his face so hopefully we can get some cute shots.
