Jack Found His Feet

Yesterday he was sitting in his bouncy chair on the floor and he started kicking the toys hanging above him. I could tell he wanted to hit them with his hands too but couldn’t figure out how to do it.

We stayed in most of the day due to rain, but by mid-afternoon I was going stir crazy so we headed out to the grocery store. Jack slept the entire time – even when I carried him out in the rain. Of course he was covered by a blanket, but I still thought he would wake up. Something about the car seat just puts him right to sleep.

Joe got home last night and hung out with the little man before he went to bed. It’s funny to see him recognize his dad. Here they are on the couch:

Today we have a few outings – possibly Fiber Factory in Mesa, then the Turkish Restaurant again, and then knitting at Changing Hands. I’m not sure how it will all work but we’ll figure it out somehow. I just wish the rain would let up a bit!

Enjoy these "baby steps" in childhood development. Pretty soon he will be sending you email.... no kidding.
