Another Bath Day

We did stay in most of yesterday, although we took a small trip to Target and Fry’s. That was the excitement of our day. And Jack had another bath. A few cute pictures came out of it. My sister in law said I wasn’t getting close enough with the camera, so these are an attempt to remedy that problem:

He’s not to sure about the bath at first

but then he’s waving his arms around

and making cute faces.

We can’t get enough of watching him sleep either, and Joe took this picture later in the day:

We had a better night last night. I think I realized that Jack talks in his sleep and is not necessarily waking up when I hear him make noises. He was up at one and when I went to get him he fell asleep on the way to the other room. AND he fell asleep while eating. So when I heard him again at 3:30 I just went over and put the pacifier in his mouth and patted his belly a little bit. He calmed right down and went completely to sleep and didn’t get up again until 5.

I am officially giving up caffeine just to see if it makes a difference. Of course I spent most of yesterday with a headache because of it, but today I feel better.

I’ve been trying to learn how to pump milk so I can leave him this weekend with the grandparents. We have a play Friday night and a wedding Saturday night, so in theory I need 8 ounces of milk to leave with him. Julie the breastfeeding pro gave me some advice on Saturday so I spent Sunday and Monday trying to get it right. I can’t believe how hard it is. The best thing she told me to do was to read something unrelated so I wasn’t paying too close attention to how much came out. I don’t know why this works but it does. Hopefully by the end of the week I’ll have it figured out.

Nothing planned today other than laundry. It’s rainy and cold outside and our heater is broken again. I’m glad we got that space heater, it does make a big difference.

Comments:
The term "space heater" has always made me think of some gigantic, Death Star-like intergalactic heating machine. I'm assuming that's not what you bought though.

That first bath pictures he seems to be saying, "come on Ma.... what's with the camera being so close?"
