Don't Mess with Mr. Friendly
Lest you think our baby just sits around looking cute in his outfits and sleeping, here is a picture from this morning when he woke up wet and hungry. The little man does not like to be wet in the least, and the indignity of having to wait for his food only compounds the issue.
Joe and I had our first experience with baby vomit last night. I gave Jack a bottle and must have sat him up too quickly or something, because his entire meal spewed out all over me. It was as if a hose were attached to the back of his head. Then we made the mistake of trying to put him to bed figuring he had just eaten. His poor little tummy was empty though, and he was having none of it. We should have refilled him a little before trying to put him down, because Joe ended up sitting up with him for a few hours.
The dogs are trying to adjust to this new creature. Here they are trying to peer at him over the edge of his stroller. I think they like how he smells.

Hi Guys,
Gemma saw Jack's pictures on your blog and now she keeps asking me to "do pictures on the puter". I asked her what she was taking about and she said baby Jack! I thought that was very cute! She was also asking what was wrong with him in the piture from today. I think this is preparing her for her new sibling!

Oh Brooke he is just beautiful! He is so small, tiny, amazing! I am here with my nephew born just the day before Jack and little Eli isn't so little - born at 11 1/2 pounds.. WOW - this kid is a lot to hold! So keep Jack in a pickle jar please becuase I want to come back to AZ and hold a real baby! One that is small and compact!
Call me if you need anything! I'd love to come see Mr. Jack when you are ready for visitors... just let me know!

Did you puke as well? I am sure that Joe would love to have a double. I am guessing that you were so intensely focused on J that the fact that you were drenched in vomit didn't register.....or maybe not.
I am sure that you were not amused when you read on page 231 of "What to expect the First year" that newborns can vomit twice their body weight.
